У меня на даче тоже такая проблема была, шкаф после зимы стоял закрытый и пахло сыростью. Уголь реально помогает, кинул пару мешочков на полку и через неделю запах ушел. Еще неплохо раз в месяц открывать и проветривать, особенно если вещи давно не доставал.
